Charlotte Burgmans (NL) took art classes before she even could write. Since then, art has been part of her life. She is a multidisciplinary artist and creates artworks with various materials and techniques.

Charlotte has lived in several countries, but the move to the United States in 2003 gave a major boost to her art career. She attended master classes in painting, ceramics, and printmaking at Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, CA) and successfully participated in so-called jury shows (California, Texas, NY, etc.). She had her first solo exhibition in October 2004 in San Clemente.

Charlotte’s art style has evolved, through her fascination with 'ZERO Art', which eventually led to the 'Organized Chaos' series, consisting of wall reliefs based on a geometric pattern and handmade elements of clay, plywood, paper, etc. Light and shadow are of great importance. Every moment of the day, influenced by the sun or light sources, the artworks are different. Her first wall relief was awarded 3rd Prize in the Juried Exhibition 2018 of Laguna Beach (CA).

Charlotte has spent much of her career in California. Currently she works from her studio near Amsterdam. Her work is shown internationally and collected in corporate and private collections.
